A literal translation of her name would be "Yellow Little-Bird". Jing-Wei is generally a very happy person. She often evokes the best out of people but if you cross her wrong she'll definitely instigate the effects of karma. She isn't really a vengeful or hateful person -- she just likes to see justice served.
Her father, 黃见羽 -- Huang Jian-Yu, is in the Ministry of Public Security in China. He works as a police officer to help solve domestic problems within society. His name literally translates into "Yellow Builder of the Universe". He'd been working with the police force since Jing-Wei was about five-years-old.
黃悔仲 -- Huang Hui-Zhong -- her mother -- had many health complications after giving birth to her and as a result she died. Her name means "Yellow Beautiful on the Inside and Smart on the Outside". Jing-Wei looks alot like her mother much to her father's joy and grievance.
Her father practices the teachings of 孔丘 ( Zhong Ni ) or Confucius because it is one of the most popular philosophies and religions in China to date. Outwardly, her mother was Buddhist but she mostly practiced the reverence of the Ancestors. Jing-Wei denied Zhong Ni but she continued in the worship and honor of the Ancestors( under the influence of her grandmother ) and practices Taoism.
Jing-Wei and her father sometimes argue over religion because she practices Chinese witchcraft and divination which is considered forbidden by Confucianism. He often finds it strange that she can always tell him what he's thinking and what his intentions are. There are more ways than this that have proven her clairvoyant abilities.
Being born in the year of the Snake, she is a very intelligent person. Jing-Wei is often found reading a book, doing research in a library or on the internet. She enjoys old music; new music doesn't really meet her favour. All of her friends are listening to Lady Gaga or Kesha while she's listening to Roger Whittaker and Stevie Wonder. She enjoys looking at beautiful pictures which is why she's often seen in an art museum or art show.
She lives with her aunt Catherine Huang in the United States. She attends a University in New York and is working toward an Education degree while also studying Philosophy. Hopefully, someday, she'll be able to teach about Theology and Philosophy. It is her passion.
Jing-Wei is anything but shy; she loves having conversations about religion, politics, art, novels and news articles.
Unlike her father, Jing-Wei doesn't know much of anything about martial arts. The closest thing she could ever get to it is yoga. She does, however, practicing American Kickboxing. Though this isn't usually used in a combat setting; it's basically for exercise.
After recently visiting China to see her father, he'd given her a Jian or double edged Chinese sword as a gift. It has a red tassle that hangs out out of the hilt. She finds it difficult to maneuver it, seeing as she's had no experience with weapons at all.
][ Physical Appearance ][
Jing-Wei has long, charcoal black hair. Her skin is of average, light, beige pigment. She has a birthmark below her right eye. She stands at exactly five-foot. She weighs a few pound more than average Asian women her age. What makes her stand out from her Chinese sisters is the fact that she has bigger hips than they do. Often, during high school, she was called fat and was ostracized by her female Asian counter-parts' organizations.
She’s usually seen wearing blue-jeans with a silk blouse tucked into them.
