My Idea
I’ve come to the conclusion, that, well. RC kind of sucks. I know a lot of people will probably yap and groan about why am I still around if I think it sucks. The answer to that is, I’ve got nowhere else to go to even try to find role play on a chat. As far as solution goes—and this is something that I think everyone could get into; talented writers and poor ones alike. A multi-verse, plain and simple. Everyone gets to add their two-cents, or five-pence. However you want to play it. If your willingly to work to help build a community, then I’m sure anyone interested in the project will be willing to let you have your moment on the soap box. Hopefully this’ll catch on. We’ve got a chance to do something right, to build as story, and a hard-earned enjoyable experience. Put your thoughts the in reply box, what you want, or what you don’t want and let’s see if we can maybe piece-together-a-masterpiece.

I beat everyone to the punch. My simplest idea, in it's rawest state is this. Conflict. Conflict creates interest. Conflict isn't always combat. There's romance, politics, combat, and hell it's your imagination don't make me do all the work.
It only requires two-opposing forces, with a little bit of back story. Or one simple object of lust in both groups eyes. This could go anywhere, and it's simple as heck.

The idea seems alright to me so far, even if it's still in the first stages. I can already see a few problems that might pose themselves; getting people to hop onto the bandwagon will be difficult in itself. Then there's the part where some people don't like each other, and they might not want to be part of the RP scheme in their spite. After the ball gets rolling, though, the main problem will probably be keeping order amongst those who want to take part in this.
Don't get me wrong; like I said, the idea isn't bad. I'd enjoy having a nice, solid RP around on RC. Maybe you can elaborate a bit more on your idea and plans?

Well there's not much I can do about getting the idea to really explode like a virgin, but as far as people who don't like each other, the biggest problem will be getting them to stay IC. I notice this a lot on RC; people talking OOC, ic. Combining the two, etc, etc. All that nuts's a d**ned good way to kill a role play.
But hell, the people who don't like each other, could just dislike each other IC, if their trivial hate means that much to them.
We've got plenty of role players on RC, so we've got the people and the place. We just need the direction to get 'em rolling.
We've already got multiple clans on RC to boot, and plenty of people who hate each other for us to write some fiction-back-story to explain the hate, and then throw 'em into the fray as part of a constant role play.
My biggest worry is the people who ONLY want to fight, and have no interest in building a character, etc, etc. They're the biggest threat to REAL role play.

I see what you mean. Plus if we do the whole RP thing and people that hate each other can have like rivaling clans and such. It all makes great sense. Keep posting ideas up to help andget it going more.

Well we all are just ourselves so why not put that to our advantages. Seeing as only we know what we can do it would be amazingly fun.

Roleplay is becoming a dwindling thing on chatrooms and forums. I remember when there were so many mediums on which you could roleplay. You had MSN, Yahoo, AOL, MySpace and several of the chats that Kaitou Ace from AnimeGlobe had.
Watching these kids roleplay makes me kind of sick. And bringing their personal loathing of another person into roleplay is really bad.
There are times when I'd play as a character who disliked another character but didn't feel any harsh feelings outside of the roleplay. I suppose this is acceptable?
Alot of people around my age have retired from roleplay altogether. I feel a little out of the loop seeing as I still play with you guys. I enjoy it like anybody would enjoy video games or comic books. I guess it's not really strictly for teenagers anymore.
And yes, I would love to start something with you guys. I'm thinking that maybe we should create an original story instead of borrowing back-stories and characters from various anime or video games we like.
Sure, we can still play them but maybe in a different setting.
Yeah, and mixing up in character with out of character on the chat is really annoying because I don't know if people are playing or if they're just... Ugh.
Anyway, I can't wait to have fun with you guys. <333

I'll gladly assist you, Yue! I'd happily help bring some enjoyment to just about anyone will to works towards the same goal. I look forward to indulging myself in role play with all of you. Now we just need more people for the bandwagon. I'm glad to see people gathering together for a common goal. :] Thank you all.

I can't wait -- it's going to be super special awesome.
We need to set this "roleplay" thing into motion. People are already creating their characters. The thing is, though, we need a plot to mold our characters around.
I have a few suggestions but I need to know your thoughts on this first.

Though I hate to be a detractor (Very much the realist), how do you plan to keep everyone on the same page? If things, (As they usually do in chat based RPs) start moving very quickly, not everyone will be able to stay on the same page.
Other than that, I do agree with all of you; I've been at this for a few years, and it seems RC is one of, if not the last safe-haven for semi-serious Role-Players outside of forums. If there is anything I can do to help get this off the ground, please, ask.
(My main fortes are area creation and mythos, basically, I'm good at providing back-stories of various lands within the supposed multi-verse, and the expansion of clan back-stories. I've had some experience with this sort of thing on other sites, so again, please, ask if you need something!)
